How it works

Start with a meet-and-greet

Meet our family, explore the house and yard and introduce your dog to our resident pets. We will talk about temperament, routines and care needs. If everyone feels comfortable, we can confirm dates, the rate and arrival and pickup plans.

A good fit

Comfort for dogs big and small

Friendly, house-trained dogs who are comfortable with small dogs and cats fit best. Dogs over 40 pounds have limited availability and require approval after a meet-and-greet. They must be calm, well trained and gentle around smaller pets.

Puppies are considered individually. Adult dogs must not mark indoors. Our household includes two cats and chickens in a secure enclosure.

More ways to help

Daytime care and nearby visits

Lower-cost daytime stays suit independent dogs comfortable without constant supervision. I work about 10 minutes away and can usually return around lunchtime.

Nearby home visits can include cats, chickens, small pets, plants and mail or packages. We are southwest of Plumb Lane and Hunter Lake Drive in Reno.
